This past year’s entries have seen the establishment of what I feel mental health issues encompass, both the light and the darkness of what one’s innermost being inhabits. Most, like myself, that walk these fields rely upon someone special to traverse the rocky land. My path has grounded me because of a man who loves me, the one who walks the edgy tight rope of endurance with me, my special someone. So, this December, I dedicate these poems to him, also hoping that those who are alone this Holiday Season will find solace in hearing from a fellow journeyman.
In celebration of another anniversary, Michael ...
Dear, you once walked my way
And held me so gently
Like a breeze winding through my hair
I loved you at first sight
Knowing full well that a plighted path stole your freedom
And rode you hard throughout the years
Gentle as a feather, you brushed love on me
Your stalwart feelings never wavering
Like sweet smelling roses that perfumed love's breathe
One day we will part this earth
And meet again at Heaven's gate
We will unite again as one
As our feeling for one another lay like a never-ending meadow
Another poem about you, dear one, describing what appeared to be your reality when we first met one another, so many years ago ...
He walked miles
Traveling by thirst
Driven by true hope
And an ability to cope
Many of his fellow man
passed him by as a snake would an octopus
He persisted in forthcoming sparkle
Which bless all that he touched
He walks like a mountain
His goodness trickling abounds
We wish him the best as broad as the sky
As infinite as the galaxy that smiles so wide
